“The Transformation Journey of Kika Reflections on the Past and Expectations for the Future.”

Kika, el año 2023 marcó un período de grandes cambios para ti: obtuviste tu certificación como health coach, conociste a Gonzalo, regresaste a Chile después de varios años viviendo fuera y, lamentablemente, perdiste a Gin, tu amado perro. ¿Cómo enfrentaste todos estos cambios y qué has aprendido de ellos?

El año 2023 fue, sin duda, un año de transformaciones. Cada cambio, por más difícil que haya sido, me ha enseñado algo valioso. La certificación como health coach me ha permitido comprender mejor la importancia del bienestar integral, y conocer a Gonzalo ha sido un gran regalo en mi vida. La pérdida de Gin fue un golpe duro que aún estoy procesando, pero me ha enseñado a valorar aún más cada momento con nuestros seres queridos. Al regresar a Chile, me he reencontrado con mis raíces, lo cual siempre es enriquecedor.

Kika, the year 2023 marked a period of significant changes for you: you obtained your certification as a health coach, met Gonzalo, returned to Chile after several years living abroad, and sadly lost Gin, your beloved dog. How did you face all these changes, and what have you learned from them?

The year 2023 was undoubtedly a year of transformations. Each change, no matter how difficult, has taught me something valuable. The certification as a health coach has allowed me to better understand the importance of holistic well-being, and meeting Gonzalo has been a great gift in my life. The loss of Gin was a tough blow that I am still processing, but it has taught me to value each moment with our loved ones even more. Returning to Chile, I have reconnected with my roots, which is always enriching.

Este 2024 ha comenzado con una intensa labor voluntaria apoyando a organizaciones que se ocupan de los animales afectados por los incendios en Viña del Mar, además de tu participación en el matinal de TVN en el contexto del Festival. ¿Cómo estás manejando estos compromisos, y cómo estás contribuyendo?

Este año ha empezado con muchos desafíos, pero también con mucha ilusión. El voluntariado surge de mi amor por los animales y mi deseo de ayudar en situaciones difíciles. Así nació Roxy hace unos años, y para cada catástrofe que ocurre en nuestro país, estamos aquí, entregándolo todo por los animales que nos necesitan. Durante estas semanas, he pasado 10 días en Viña, visitando varios centros de acogida y recolectando fondos y comida para que más de 50 animales puedan recuperarse también.

En cuanto a mi participación en el matinal de TVN, estoy muy entusiasmada; es una experiencia que disfruto mucho, ya que me recuerda mi paso como reina del Festival de Viña hace unos años. Aunque hoy Viña del Mar esté de luto, creo que este Festival nos ayudará a levantar el ánimo y también a destinar recursos para la pronta recuperación de tantas familias, hogares y animales que lo perdieron todo.

Ambos compromisos (Fundación Roxy y participación en el matinal) requieren tiempo y energía, pero cuando haces lo que amas, todo fluye.

This 2024 has started with intense volunteer work supporting organizations that care for animals affected by the fires in Viña del Mar, in addition to your participation in the TVN morning show in the context of the Festival. How are you managing these commitments, and how are you contributing?

This year has begun with many challenges, but also with much excitement. Volunteering stems from my love for animals and my desire to help in difficult situations. That’s how Roxy was born a few years ago, and for every catastrophe that happens in our country, we are here, giving everything for the animals that need us. During these weeks, I have spent 10 days in Viña, visiting several shelters and collecting funds and food so that more than 50 animals can recover as well.

As for my participation in the TVN morning show, I am very excited; it is an experience that I enjoy a lot, as it reminds me of my time as queen of the Viña Festival a few years ago. Although today Viña del Mar is in mourning, I believe that this Festival will help us lift our spirits and also allocate resources for the prompt recovery of so many families, homes, and animals that lost everything.

Both commitments (Roxy Foundation and participation in the morning show) require time and energy, but when you do what you love, everything flows.

Este año también te casas con Gonzalo Valenzuela y tienes proyectos de seguir creciendo con IKI. ¿Nos puedes compartir un poco sobre tus planes y expectativas para este 2024?

Veo este 2024 como un año lleno de amor y crecimiento para mí. Casarme con Gonzalo es un paso importante en nuestra relación y estamos muy emocionados. En cuanto a IKI, tenemos muchos planes para seguir creciendo y ofreciendo herramientas para el bienestar de las personas. Estoy muy entusiasmada con lo que viene y agradecida por todas las oportunidades.

This year you are also marrying Gonzalo Valenzuela and have plans to continue growing with IKI. Can you share a little about your plans and expectations for this 2024?

I see this 2024 as a year full of love and growth for me. Marrying Gonzalo is an important step in our relationship, and we are very excited. As for IKI, we have many plans to continue growing and offering tools for people’s well-being. I am very excited about what is to come and grateful for all the opportunities.
